Vendor Spotlight – Two Sons Bakehouse
MOCO is happy to announce that we now carry baked goods from Two Sons Bakehouse. Bill Hoag, owner, was a line cook who needed a second job. He baked bread in other restaurants, but landed at Harvest Market in Stowe, VT about 15 years ago and stayed. In June of 2020, he made the jump and opened his own small sourdough bakery.
“I’ve been around food since I was 15-16 years old and never really got away from it. But the bread thing, I really became passionate about it. I love what I do.”
Located in Jeffersonville, VT on the mountain road just below Smugglers Notch Resort, Two Sons Bakehouse has a strong emphasis on wholesale. “There is a woodfired oven here and that’s something I was looking for.”
Two Sons Bakery will open a café soon in hopes of breaking into the retail market. The plan is to offer breakfast sandwiches, bagels, scones, muffins, cinnamon rolls and coffee for the morning crowd and a lunch menu with a few specials. They will serve good, solid food using as much local products as possible like eggs from local farmers and McKenzie meat products.
Currently, Two Sons Bakehouse has 3 employees. What sets them apart from other bakeries is their commitment to their products and to their loyal following. According to Bill, “I’ve been at it for well over 15 years at this point. I have a solid crew; they’ve been with me for a couple years. They believe in what we are doing. We all work really hard and are passionate about what we do. We are willing to work 7 days a week and make sure everyone gets what they want when they want it.
You can find Two Sons Bakehouse bagels, English muffins, baguettes and more on MOCO’s shelves, delivered every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday!
