Round It Up For Change Recipient
MOCO is committed to community!
An important part of MOCO’s mission is to strengthen our community – socially, environmentally, and economically.
One of the ways in which we support Lamoille County non-profit organizations, is through our program: Round It Up for Change.
The current Round It Up For Change Recipient for August 1 – September 30th 2020 is Salvation Farms!
Salvation Farms works with farmers, partners and community members to move wholesome crops that have no market to those in need of nourishment – working toward a future where communities are increasingly fed by local farmers. Please visit www.salvationfarms.org for more information.
Check Out Our New Website Additions!
As some of you already know, we launched a new and improved website several weeks ago. We are adding features and info daily. One of our newest additions is the MOCO Blog (which can be found under the Community drop-down in the top menu). Here you will find of MOCO News, Recipes, Vendor Spotlights, Member Discounts, and more.
We have also added an Events page (which can also be found under the Community drop-down menu). Due to Covid our events are limited, but we will post upcoming events and important dates here.
MOCO Covid-19 Update
We are following the Governor’s mandated requirement of masks being required by both employees and customers when in the store. We realize that some customers may not be able to wear a mask for medical reasons. Therefore, we urge anyone who is unable to, or prefers not to, shop inside the store to take advantage of our online ordering and curbside pickup.
For your convenience, we have added a product list to the online ordering page on the website as a guide. Once your order is placed, a staff member will call you and go over your it with you. At this time they will let you know what might be out of stock and suggest alternatives. They are happy to walk the aisles and let you know what we have on the shelves that may not be in the product list and help you to order the best possible options or alternatives.
Continued in-store shopping procedures:
- We are sanitizing our carts and baskets throughout the day
- You’ll find much of our produce individually bagged to keep it fresher longer as well as maintaining your health and safety while shopping
- Reusable bags are now permitted, you will be required to fill your own bag; MOCO staff will fulfill bulk orders for you using in-store provided containers
- Hand sanitizer will be provided at the store entrance/exit
- Deli gloves will be available for customers to use while choosing fresh produce
- Masks are required when shopping at MOCO
From all of us here at MOCO, we are honored to be serving our community during this time and thank you for supporting your local food coop!
