Donations and Sponsorships
At the Morrisville Food Co-op, supporting our local community is at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud to partner with farmer/producers, organizations, events, and businesses that reflect our values and help strengthen the Lamoille Valley.
If you’re planning an event or looking for support, here’s a quick overview of what we prioritize and how we approach requests.
Our Approach
We aim to:
- Be thoughtful and intentional with our support
- Balance community impact with staff and operational capacity
- Build meaningful partnerships, not just one-time donations
We take the following into account: relevance to mission, event location, the timeline of the request, the number of requests received in any given timeframe and the overall donations/sponsorships budget.
The Co-op does not donate to individuals, 3rd party fundraisers, and/or partisan organizations or organizations that advance a particular religious view.
What We Love to Support
We prioritize events and organizations that align with our mission as a community-owned co-op and local food hub.
Local Community Events
- Morrisville, Lamoille County, and nearby communities
- Events that bring people together in meaningful ways
- Family-friendly, inclusive, and accessible gatherings
Food, Agriculture & Local Economy
- Events centered around local food, farming, or sustainability
- Food festivals and workshops
- Initiatives that support local producers and small businesses
Community Health and Well-being
- Educational events, workshops, and skill-building opportunities
- Youth-focused or school-related initiatives
Nonprofits & Community Organizations
- Local nonprofits, mutual aid efforts, and community programs
- Groups working toward equity, inclusion, and access
Types of Support We May Offer
Depending on capacity and alignment, we may be able to provide:
- Product donations (snacks, ingredients, etc.)
- Raffle or auction items (gift cards, curated baskets)
- Sponsorship (limited)
- Event tabling at the Co-op
- Promotion through our channels (in select cases); examples would include social media, enewsletter, in-store signage.
Please note: not all requests can be fulfilled, and support levels may vary.
Timing & Requests
To ensure we can give each request thoughtful consideration, we ask that:
Requests be submitted at least 3–4 weeks in advance
All requests must include:
- Event details (date, location, purpose)
- Type of support requested
- Who the event serves
- Anticipated audience number/impressions
- What promotion/benefit (if any) the Co-op would receive.
