To commemorate and celebrate the contributions made by people of African descent, American historian Carter G. Woodson established the second week in February as Black History Week in 1926. In 1976, President Gerald Ford decreed Black History Month a national observance. Since then, the month of February serves to both reaffirm and uphold the historical importance of Blacks in America. Round It Up For Change (RIUFC) 2021 Recipients Announced!
The Morrisville Food Co-op is pleased to announce the five Lamoille County nonprofit recipients of the co-op’s Round It Up For Change program for 2021. Through Round It Up For Change, MOCO shoppers have raised thousands of dollars to support Lamoille County nonprofit organizations.
Lamoille Community House (LCH)

LCH is a shelter that provides clean beds and hot meals to people in our community experiencing homelessness. With kindness and dignity, LCH offers guests hope, security and connection to community. Their intent in 2021 is to move from a seasonal shelter to a year-round model and increase staff

Vegetarian Shepard's Pie
- 1 16oz. package of Beyond Meat Ground Beyond Beef
- 1 medium to large onion
- 4-5 medium potatoes, preferably Yukon Gold or other yellow potato
- 1 16oz. package of either Cascadian Farms Organic sweet corn or their mixed vegetables - cooked
- 1 8oz. package of Cabot Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 bulb of roasted garlic
- Thyme
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Peel and quarter potatoes – add to cold water and bring to
